Juliet
Single Mast, Gaff Rigged Sloop w /Bowsprit
A Shoal Draft, Full-Lenght Keel and Clipper Bow

The sloop is a small vessel with one mast and a fore and aft
rig. The
mainsail is attached to a gaff at the head and a boom at the foot and
above the gaff a topsail can be set. Before the mast on some vessels
as shall be in the case of "Juliet",
one may find a bowsprit, with one
or more jibs attached.

OK, It's May,1999. I have my plans and I have some stock ! ! !

I am installing a threaded rod, couplings and an eye-bolt through
the stem
to winch the boat onto the trailer.

YES, it looks like the keel in the plans :)

Lofting was not a hard as I thought it might be.

Bending the stringers went well also.

I have built this caddy to build my boat on, as I will be building
her alone.
It has proven to be a good idea, it makes moving this fair size boat
around
my little garage very easy.
Well, Juliet is still a long way from launching
but, She is underway :)
Below is a sketch of her design.
She is a Weekender II. I found her at Stevenson's Projects Web
site.

I hope to have more pictures to scan soon. If you like
to,
you can take a look at my log to read of my current progress.
