A day of sail on the Taunton River

7:00 Am, High tide on the Taunton River.
With a 10-12 knot wind, it promises to be a fine, fine day.

Adam and I, having just too much fun, and the day has only just begun.

A nice 12 knot breeze to fill the sails, it's just perfect..

Way down river at Fall River's Battleship Cove.

The U.S.S. Massachusetts, me thinks I'll give her the right of way :)

Slipping through the gateway back home.

"Juliet" handles fine and responds well in the 10- 15 knots winds we were given on this day.

She is very comfortable and stable.  I have no fear of here going over in this amount of wind.

Passing " Dead Man's Rock" at high tide you can not see it.
Many have not stayed with in the channel markers and have run into it.

I can't tell you how much I enjoy sailing this little Gaff Rig.

And now to see just how much I can force a heel.

Ok, I can force a heel but it wasn't easy :)

I could easily spend all day on this boat.

These boats are a blast, it is great to have another friend with a Weekender too.
And soon maybe there will be more Weekenders here in Massachusetts to sail with.
